After watching every YouTube video and reading every review on this truck while waiting for it come out and waiting to the moment where they would say “this truck can fit a full sheet of plywood in it!” and not really understanding how useful that is as a first time truck owner, I finally took advantage of the that today,. I continue to be very impressed with the utility and practicality of this truck. Great purchase. Always makes me happy to roll past the big trucks with stuff like this since so many people swear midsize trucks are useless and bed is never used for actual work.

Nice! I'd say it's less impressive when you compare the size of these new Rangers to a 15-20yr old F150. Same size, same capabilities if not better on the new truck.
I'd honestly be bummed if I had to park such a big truck without being about to haul and tow as much as a half ton late model truck

Oh boy, if you're a first time truck owner I have critical information for you any time that you're going to be hauling something in the bed of your truck. It is extremely important, and I cannot stress this enough, that you say "That ain't goin' anywhere" when you're done loading it up

That is an awesome thing! The 4ft wide between wells was initially my main driver to go with Ranger, and of course since then I'm glad with that plus other aspects of the truck. Looks like in that photo you are right at payload max (if not maybe over a tad). I was worried how much that tailgate could hold but it looks like yours did just fine. Thanks for sharing!

I think the size, payload a towing is spot on for the Ranger!!! I say this as a prospective Ranger buyer driving a 2002 F-150 SuperCrew (purchased new). The only exception is the 5’ bed length. I don’t want smaller.
Here is a recent photo carrying 4 picnic tables worth of lumber for my sons Eagle Scout Project.

93 f150. Has short bed. I think 6 ft. Buy tow rating is 5k. I've never hsuled more than 3k ,with no problems.
Horsepower on a 5.0 approx 185. Except for bed length. Ranger definitely ahead.

As one awaiting my build, that is an inspiring photo. I continue to watch and read reviews and nothing has made me think twice about my choice. Thank you for sharing.,

I went from a frontier, to a Colorado, back to a remodeled frontier and now the Ranger raptor - I’ve ALWAYS used my truck as a truck and gotten use out of my bed. One must have feature for me so the tailgate extender - drop your tailgate, flip that thing over and you basically have a full size bed

I do use my bed extender with the tailgate down, but one huge disadvantage is if you’re also trying to use you hitch for bike carriers or a while towing a trailer. I rather have the extra bed volume of a 6’ bed with tailgate up and have full use of hitch accessories. Prime example for me would be kayaks and camping in gear in the bed (tailgate up) and mountain bikes in tray type rack in the 2” receiver. Hard to do with a 5’ bed.
